About

Workshops is open to SWSG Guild Members Only. Please check your email and newsletter for details and cost.

Deb will begin the workshop introducing participants to Color & Value and how these decisions affect our fiber projects. Following the introduction, she will direct participants in a weave along. The weave along will be open to all skill level of weavers and any types of loom (rigid heddle, multi shaft floor or table looms). The workshop is intended to be a fun, interactive workshop and an opportunity to weave together online with Guild friends while learning about color and value.

Prior to the workshop Deb will provide instructions for everyone to select an inspiration and choose four colors of yarn based on their inspiration. Deb will provide instructions for warping your looms with your 4 chosen colors. There will be several weaving drafts to select from, you will decide what draft you want to weave with based on your loom and skill level. Instructions will include how to warp the loom with the 4 colors selected. You can warp your loom just to sample or if you prefer, a longer project. Class will start with everyone sharing inspirations and yarns selected followed by weaving samples and ending with sharing and discussion.

This fun, low pressure workshop will be a great way to start your weaving for 2024. Sign-up information will be included in the October newsletter. Hold the date and time!
