March 22, 2022 - Zoom

Instructor : Margery Erickson

Topic: Painted Warps

12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

Following the Guild presentation  Margery will present a 2 hour (approximate)  ZOOM workshop on how we can plan and host our own warp painting play date. We will use the Guild meeting Zoom Link for both the meeting and the workshop. There is no charge for the zoom workshop.

April 26, 2022 - In person meeting

Instructor : Stephenie Gaustad

Topic: Opalessence

Following the meeting and a lunch break, Stephenie will be presenting a workshop “Attain Opalescence in Yarn”. 

This is scheduled for the afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Shepherd Garden Arts Center.
The Fee is $25 to the Guild and $5 to Stephanie for supplies on the day of the workshop. 

Students will learn how to “Attain Opalescence in Yarn”, Hands on, processing materials necessary for the effect, carding, base colors, accent colors, neighboring “Iridescence”. Students should bring: a functional spinning wheel or Spindle, hand carders, oil for wheel as needed and a Niddy noddy for winding off yarn.

October 27 & 28, 2022 

Instructor : Sharlet Elms

Topic: 4 to 8 shafts, Advanced Beginner to Intermediate Weavers

Sharlet will be giving a 2 day, hands on workshop designed for advanced beginners to intermediate weavers using 4 or 8 shaft looms. This workshop will be limited to 10-12 members. Attendees will need to bring a table or floor loom in working order that is pre warped and ready to weave. A list of supplies and instructions and materials fee payable to Sharlet will be sent out in late summer. The workshop will be held from 9 to 3 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 3235 Pope Ave, Sacramento.
There is a maximum student limit of 12 students for this workshop. The list will be created on a first paid basis.
