LAMBTOWN 2026
Sandy, Rita and I headed off on the yearly adventure to Lambtown. We chose Sunday as our

day of fun and went off in search of color and flair: we found it!! There were so many wonderful sites to see: vendors, sheep dogs, sheep-to-shawl competitions, demonstrations and corn dogs. It would have been nice to go on Saturday to see the judging and if anyone would like to share pictures or stories of that, please let me know. We "heard" Saturday had long lines to get through security, but Sunday was a breeze and we went right in and the temperature was even fine (to begin with).
We began our day checking out the vendor barns: there was so much fiber! Colors, textures, spun, un-spun, dyed and natural. So much you could hardly make up your mind.
We checked in on the Sheep-to-Shawl teams: it is always inspiring to see the high quality and speed with which they work. It was HOT but they seemed to do OK with fans cooling them off.
Robin had a great booth, as did Meredith. And look at our new 80 year postcard designed by Emily
Fair attendees "dressed" for the occasion and I'm going to remember to get in the groove next year:
We went through every building and then checked out the outdoor exhibits. There was a petting zoo and a sister spinning guild demonstrating spinning. They were using drop spindles made from old CD's.
It generated a lot of "buzz" and we took notes on how we can do something similar next year to promote our guild.
BUT now it got HOT so it was time to go. Just a quick stop for that golden CORN DOG and a listen to the band. I hope a lot of you made it and would love to hear your Lambtown stories.
