The month of May held our last guild meeting for the 2025-2026 season. We were back at our favorite spot: Shepard Garden and Arts Center. (going forward, known as Sacramento Garden and Arts Center). We had a great turn out, a ROOMFUL of items for sale, a BANQUET of beautiful and delicious food. We thanked our reigning Queen Judy for her two years of hard, time-consuming work. She got to wear her tiara for one last time. She was presented with a boat shuttle engraved with her name and "years of service".

Words can never adequately express the thanks for what a president takes on. They all truly deserve to be on our Wall of Fame. Judy, Judy, Judy: we humbly thank you for your reign.
Thanks also to Debra and Stephanie for organizing this great event. Lots of weavers brought their work to share and everyone enjoyed seeing and learning what others are working on. Our group is so varied and talented.
Earlier in the month of May we had some members attend 2026 CNCH. Here are the pix they shared and a little about them.
The above are the very nice memories shared by Debra G
Judy S took the Huck Lace Workshop and this is her project from start to (almost) finish.
Colors lined up on the door Getting it all lined up. Look at that nice result!
Ann L attended and took the card weaving class: I sat next to Ann at the lunch and it was fun hearing about all she learned.
Finally: Ann and Susan W took the mini felting workshop. They made floweres, hats and had a "hedgehog" decorating contest. Now THAT sounds like a WHOLE lot of fun.

These all look so wonderful. We cant all make it to CNCH but it is great to see and hear what its all about. And while we are on the subject of CNCH. We are getting the word out now that in 2029 our guild (yes, Sacramento ) will be in charge of organizing and carrying off CNCH 2029. Please pay attention to how you can help. We are going to have a wide variety of jobs so there is surely one for all. It can be so much fun when you get involved: you leave the event with many happy memories.
