YES! SEPTEMBER'S MEETING FOUND US BACK IN OUR OLD "STOMPING" GROUNDS

Our first meeting of the year was full of color, fun, great displays, and a wonderful program presented by Sheila O'Hara. She took us through her history and explained her 4-warp method of creating beautiful woven pictures. Sheila has been published in Handwoven several times so you can look up her projects and weave one of your own.

Sheila has had quite a variety published so check out the different ones and try one that suits you best. We all had a great time looking over the renovated SACRAMENTO Garden and Arts Center. We had a smaller space but had full use of the kitchen (always important) and really enjoyed being back in familiar territory again.

Sheila was an entertaining speaker and we all enjoyed opening our year with this lively, colorful program.

NOW ON TO LAMBTOWN

The next adventure for our group is LAMBTOWN 2026. This is a yearly event held in Dixon and it falls on Oct 3 and 4th this year. Check it out on the web for exact details on times and how to get there. It is a weekend full of fun with sheep dog demonstrations, sheep-to-shawl competitions, sheep shearing, vendors, workshops, food booths and wool judging.

Courtney Wright has been heading up the cheerleading squad for the event and we want to make it easy for anyone to hook up with friends and fellow weavers at the event. Courtney will be the Saturday contact and is going to camp over night so she can enjoy both days. Contact Courtney via her email or text. She will let you know where to find her during the day.

Rita and Sandy and I will be the Sunday meet up group so you can text me to find out where we'll be during the day. We plan to arrive about 11 and go see all the displays, sheep dog demos, shearing and sheep to shawl. In addition, I have been told there is a dog breed demonstration at noon so we will be checking that out. It might be a good place for you all to come find us. Anytime you arrive, text any of us and we will let you know where we are.

Sooooo............grab your sunhat, water bottle, carry-all and MEET US AT THE FAIR!
