It is only Mid March and already I have seen so many new and interesting projects - it will be fun to share them with you all. The first group that is bustling along is the Spinning Group that meets the first Tuesday of every month. Here are Linda and Maureen working away:

The spinning group meets the first Tuesday of the month year round and all guild members are welcome to drop in any time.

That was on Tuesday; the following Saturday found some of us up in Loomis at the Placer County Group meeting. They meet the first Saturday of every month. Wow there was a LOT going on there. First we had the mug rug competition. Congratulations to Ellen for winning! Then Emily from Recreate spoke to us about their organization. Remember her if you have left over craft supplies: they recycle them in art projects. Very fun projects.

Then we moved on to a demo of Bonnie's sock making machine.

Next we moved onto a demo by Rebecca on her creations using found objects. She is going to lead a workshop at next months meeting to help us all create these fun things.

Our next meeting was this past Thursday with our Weaver's Study Group: Here are some of the. projects they shared:

The pink towel and instructions are from Keesha. The pillow cases were woven by Barb E. The blooming leaf towel and instructions are from Kristina. Sandy completed the scarf started by Anne Robinson, and the bag is from a kit woven by Rita. The plaid tablecloth is one of 5 woven by Mary C. What great projects done by all.

And the month is only half over. Dont forget we still have our free weaving class coming up the last 2 weekends of March. And our favorite favorite - MINI WORKSHOP the last Tueday of the month. There is still time to sign up so go to the website for details.

There are many groups within the guild that cater to all of our interests. Please be sure to read the details in the newsletter and join in when you can. There's lots to learn and explore in the guild.
