LOTS OF DONATIONS WITH LOTS OF POSSIBILITIES……….

We have been very fortunate to get loads of donations lately. Some of them are small pieces of equipment you might like to use for a wintertime project. We received a whole box of cards for card weaving. It even included the loom you see here that holds your project so you dont have to tie it to a door knob. I tried it out and made my "poker hand" project for Weaver's Study Group. It is great for quick projects and is waiting for the next person to try it out. We even recieved a later donation of fiber that would work great with it.
Next we recieved a box of pin looms. These have endless potential and there are hundreds of projects you can make by putting the squares together. Rita has used pin loom squares to make a baby blanket and these two great halloween decorations. Too Too Cute!!
I have these items at home but will bring them to the October meeting on the 28th for anyone who wants to try them out. If you want to use them sooner, just let me know and we will work it out.
Next we received an wonderful donation from Ann Robinson's family. Ann passed away recently but left a colorful variety of woven items she had labeled and ready for sale. These items will be displayed for sale at the Ocober meeting and some of them will be held for the "In-House-Open House" in February.
All of the money from the sales of these items goes to our guild - so maybe think of it as early Christmas shopping in case you dont have time to weave all the gifts yourself.
Finally: a reminder we still have a 8 harness Gilmore and a 24 " table loom looking for homes. And just as I was about to stop, I remembered we also recieved a mountain of roving along with 2 more spinning wheels. So we large looms, small looms, mini-looms. We have spinning wheels and fibers, books and more. Come to the October meeting and buy some raffle tickets or let us know what you are interested in.
Happy Weaving!
